( Chapter Four: In which Maira has a terribly long walk home that ends not with a soft bed but with a conversation she doesn't want to have and the appearance of someone she doesn't want to see. )

Chapter Five

( Chapter Five: In which Maira once again is forced into a conversation she doesn't want to have as well as a fight and discovers why the Taye do not like or trust sorcerers. )

Chapter Six

( Chapter Six: In which there are secrets kept and secrets revealed as well as a soul spell, a bit more blood, and Maira learns why sorcerers might not be as bad as she thought. )
